A drive wheel is a wheel that drives something. It can be a machine, where an example could be an automated production line, where the drive wheel drives the conveyor belt. Other examples are drive wheels for work platforms suspended under large bridges. Drive wheels are often metal wheels with polyurethane coating and thus achieve both higher wear resistance and longer service life thanks to the properties of polyurethane. In addition to drive wheels, we manufacture passive wheels, such as cable wheels. An example of a different form of drive wheel is the mill wheel, which is also something UW-ELAST can manufacture and deliver.
