Chloroprene rubber (CR)

Cover in CR - Neoprene

Chloroprene rubber (CR) is a homopolymer of chlorobutadiene.

It lacks specific distinctive properties but generally possesses several good characteristics that make it a frequent choice. Together, these allow the material to be used widely. Examples include good resistance to aliphatic oils at moderate temperatures combined with good ozone and weather resistance. It also offers good chemical resistance. As the name suggests, it contains chlorine, which makes the material flame-retardant. It also possesses good mechanical properties.

Applications include areas where a combination of the above properties is required.
