Silicone or Silicone Rubber Q
Properties, applications, and manufacturing

Silicone or silicone rubber (Q) is composed of oxygen and silicon atoms. The material possesses excellent low-temperature properties.
Excellent heat and cold resistance. It can be used within a temperature range from -60ºC up to +300ºC. Excellent weather and ozone resistance. Available as both solid and liquid rubber, as well as cold-vulcanizing material.
Applications include electrical insulation, ignition cables, gaskets, O-rings, static seals, respiratory masks, as well as hoses and roller coatings.
Also commonly used in food and medical applications.
A silicone seal maintains its integrity in both cold and heat. Silicone is easy to dye in various colors, so it is also frequently used in design and components for home use. Vulcanization systems are typically peroxide or platinum-based.
We produce in silicone Q but also liquid silicone LSR, TPE, and TPU at GGF TMRubber in Poland. They are certified in ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 and are located in newly built premises in Dobra, Poland.
