Perfluoroelastomer FFKM
Properties and areas of application

Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) is a terpolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and perfluoromethyl vinyl ether (PMVE), as well as a small amount of a third monomer that facilitates vulcanization.
The material has better resistance to thermal, oxidative, and chemical degradation than fluoroelastomer. The material is extremely expensive—approximately 50 times more than fluoroelastomer (FPM). It is used in the oil extraction industry as well as in chemical analysis instruments.
