Coatings (surface coating) of wheels and roller coating, are something of a specialty at UW-ELAST, as we can coat with NDI/Vulkollan or TDI/Adiprene, depending on the stresses involved. We are happy to manufacture complete units with steel or aluminum cores.
Large drive wheels for mills, concrete mixers, and other high-load applications are coated with Vulkollan, a high-performance material with no equivalent available today.
A surface coating with polyurethane extends the service life of the coated product. Furthermore, a surface coated with polyurethane possesses properties beyond wear resistance that few other materials can offer. Therefore, we can recommend surface coating for wheels, rollers, and other products where similar properties are desired.
Regrinding and reconditioning of rollers
Even the best wear surfaces eventually become too worn. At UW-ELAST, we can offer renovation of the wear surfaces on your rubber rollers, which extends the roller’s service life and makes it more cost-effective.
Roller coating offers many advantages, including extending service life thanks to the protection that reduces wear.
