The polyurethane industry has always been exciting and diverse, but never before has so much development work been devoted to improving properties and process characteristics as in recent years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following several years of discussions, the EU chemical regulatory body REACH has banned the use of MOCA (MBOCA) as of November 2017. This chemical is used as a curing component in many of the material systems used by the industry. It is being banned because it is hazardous to the health of those handling it during manufacturing, not in the finished product where it has reacted to form polyurethane. <\/p>\n

Over the past 10-year period, we have worked intensively on the development and implementation of new material systems. Through our process expertise and Northern Europe’s most advanced machinery, we now offer a wide range of alternative materials to those being phased out. In our well-equipped laboratory, we can also assist in verifying many different material properties. <\/p>\n

In most cases, the change of material will not be noticeable or will rather be perceived positively; however, one must respect that every application is unique. In cases where you have a product that you deem critical, we recommend that you contact us. <\/p>\n

If you have a product or application consisting of any of the following materials, that material will no longer be available for delivery after November 2017:<\/p>\n
